Job description Storekeeper 1
The Storekeeper runs the General Store during his shift. This comprises issuing materials, preparing material for shipment, keeping records, updating the data bank, etc.
Tasks
- To operate the general store and it’s administration efficiently and effectively
- To implement approved improvements to the store set-up
- Issue and check manifests
- Defective tools / equipment are repaired
- Tools and equipment issued are in good and safe working condition and that proper instructions to the user are issued when necessary
- Trace-ability of all materials in storage
- Report and unsafe condition of tools / equipment to the Chief Storekeeper
- To run the General Warehouse when the Chief Storekeeper is not on shift
- Keep the store administration up-to-date
- All equipment and material is kept in optimum condition
Qualifications
- Proven work experience in warehouse offshore, logistics and warehouse software applications (minimum 2 years) in a similar position
- Fluent in English language verbally and in writing
- Ref. procedure P.0701.005 ‘Training & Qualification Requirements Offshore Personnel’
- Available starting from January 2012
- Relevant knowledge of common administrative computer programs: MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Valid BOSIET and valid Offshore / Seafarers medical examination
- Familiarisation with Oracle data base
Conditions
- Boarding schedule: 5 weeks on, 5 weeks off
- Employment for a long period
- Very good terms of employment
